Talia Vilaplana R-DMT, CAT-LP (She/her)

I’m a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, Creative Arts Psychotherapist, and a partner in health and wellbeing. I hold a Master of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute where I trained to treat emotional, psychological, and behavioral health challenges through verbal, relational, experiential, and body-based approaches. I believe a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust and mutual respect can be a powerful tool for change. Using this person-centered framework, I ally with clients to deepen self-awareness, understand and process emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and cultivate a stronger sense of self-esteem and identity.

My clinical experience includes acute inpatient psychiatric rehabilitation therapy, partial hospitalization programming, substance use and chemical dependency recovery. My graduate research focused on the impact of dance/movement therapy for hormone-based mood disorders, an area I continue to explore in my practice.
