Orly Bendavid founder of illumind Psychotherapy, graduated from NYU with a Masters in Music therapy in 2011. Orly has been working as a Licensed Creative Arts Psychotherapist in New York for over ten years. Orly’s combines traditional talk therapy, and other therapeutic modalities (EMDR, IFS, DBT) with the arts whenever possible. Orly’s mission is to help individuals find insight and a connection to themselves through their own unique mode of expression. She believes that we all have the innate ability to heal ourselves, we often just have trouble accessing the voice that will guide and direct us to that safe loving space.
In her private practice Orly specializes in treating addiction, alcoholism, co-dependency, dating, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, couple counseling, performance anxiety, creative blocks, and grief counseling. Orly is well versed in 12 step recovery language.
Orly’s personal art work centers around grief and recovery from substance abuse.
